Meditation: rhythmic breathing with Cross of Light

When performing the initial adoration before the cross of Light,  I imagined the all seeing eye getting bigger and bigger and bigger. It started to become a bit overwhelming.

Today,  while day dreaming,  I was on a plain of sand and gravel. I saw a tree dump that was burnt and blasted by lightning. Out of this stump was growing another much smaller tree that was in the shape of the cross. Around this smaller tree grew vines of roses. I speculate that the blasted tree stump represented a sacrificial altar. The sacrificing of the ego or lower personality so the rose cross could grow.
I imagined this again during today's meditation.
